NEON Enterprise Software Ranks Third "Best Places To Work" in Houston, Houston Business Journal surveys local firms
SUGAR LAND, TX. – October 17, 2003 –NEON Enterprise Software ranked third among employers with 1 to 100 employees in the greater Houston area's "Best Places to Work 2003," based on the results of a comprehensive survey released today by the Houston Business Journal.
The annual survey included companies from Harris County and seven adjacent counties. A total of only 42 employers of all sizes received the Best Places to Work Award. The Houston Business Journal stated that competition was particularly close this year.
"It's advantageous to our customers that our employees are happy and enjoy working here. Our customers can count on our stability, and they frequently establish long-term professional relationships with our staff," said Elizabeth Hueben, vice president of sales for NEON Enterprise Software. "In a tight economy, when other companies are cutting back on staff and benefits, it's great to be able to foster an environment that breeds success—both for our customers and our employees."
The survey evaluated compensation, benefits, employee programs, and work environment. Individual employees also completed detailed questionnaires regarding their attitudes toward management, co-workers, job satisfaction, and company culture.
One employee, Bob Aubrecht, said, "This is an exciting place for me because I work as part of a team that develops superior products that bring real value to our customers. The talent here is incredible." Aubrecht is a Senior Systems Consultant who joined NEON Enterprise Software this year.
Wayne Webb, Chief Executive Officer of NEON Enterprise Software, said, "We are honored to receive this award. All of us knew this was a great place to work and now it's nice that others know also."
