NEON Enterprise Software Announces Support of IBM's Newest zSeries 990 Models
SUGAR LAND, TX. – October 8, 2003 – NEON Enterprise Software, Inc., today announced comprehensive support for IBM's newest mainframe computer models in the z990 series. IBM describes its new eServer zSeries 990 as the "world's most sophisticated server." The newest models in this series, the z990 C and D models, will be available October 31.
The new models offer the capability of having 32 processors, 20 logical partitions (LPARs), and over 500 channels, supported by two logical channel subsystems in a single central electronic complex (CEC). This super-capacity is especially suited for large corporations doing business around the clock worldwide.
NEON Enterprise Software's multi-tasking software takes advantage of the increased number of processors in the new IBM models. Because of this, an increased number of tasks can be completed more quickly, reducing overall processing time.

With NEON Enterprise Software's recently simplified pricing structure, many customers who own z990s can upgrade to the new models without incurring software upgrade fees for increased MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second) capacity.
