NEON Enterprise Software, Inc. Continues Growth with Addition of Chief Marketing Officer
SUGAR LAND, TX. – July 26, 2005 –NEON Enterprise Software, Inc. (NESI), the technology leader in enterprise data availability software and services, today announced the addition of Donald R. Odom, Sr. as chief marketing officer.
Odom will increase NESI’s executive contact with customers as a company spokesperson and customer advocate, as well as lead focus group research projects and user group meetings. Odom brings more than 40 years of experience to this position, including customer relations and technical positions at IBM Corporation, BMC Software, Inc. and Peregrine Systems, Inc.

Odom spent 14 years with IBM before joining BMC as one of the original four employees. While at BMC, Odom developed the company’s technical support group, which included support for newly developed products, onsite-installations and customer training. Odom’s experience includes helping emerging companies, such as BMC and Peregrine, build customer satisfaction and relations by working with channel vendors, hosting executive focus groups to validate product development and direction and building relationships with both potential and existing customers.
“Odom has a history of helping companies grow by building stronger customer relationships,” said Pate. “As NESI continues to grow its staff, product and service offerings, Odom will help build our customer relations efforts to ensure the future direction of the company aligns with our customers’ needs. His extensive experience working with mainframe and software-related companies is certainly an asset to our team.”
Odom earned a BBA in accounting from Texas Southern University in Houston. He helped found the Pro Kids Learning Center Foundation and worked with the San Diego Chapter Links, Inc. Achiever Mentoring program.
