NEON Enterprise Software Offers to Reduce IMS Reorganization Costs by at Least Half
SUGAR LAND, TX. – May 1, 2006 –As part of their ongoing effort to help companies reduce the cost of managing IMS databases, NEON Enterprise Software, Inc. (NESI) is offering to reduce IMS reorganization costs by at least fifty percent with the announcement of Total Eclipse.
Total Eclipse is a new program offered by NESI that allows IBM IMS HP utility customers to use NESI’s high performance Eclipse Reorganization Utilities—for half the annual cost associated with their IMS HP utilities.
“The Total Eclipse program is a bold move for NESI, but one that will benefit IMS HP utility customers greatly,” said Don Pate, CEO, NESI. “We continue to hear companies express the desire to reduce their mainframe computing costs without sacrificing performance. This program is a direct response to those requests.”
With Total Eclipse, customers have access to better performing products at a significantly reduced cost. The Eclipse Reorganization Utilities traditionally run two to eight times faster than other IMS utilities, reducing both CPU usage and elapsed time.
The Eclipse Reorganization Utilities are designed to be JCL compatible with the IBM IMS HP utilities, for easy and fast implementation. An automated reorganization solution for batch processing is also provided, simplifying job generation, eliminating potential errors and increasing database availability.
