Named 2006 DAMA International Community Award Winner
Chief Technology Officer Jack Olson Receives Award for Commitment to Service
SUGAR LAND, TX. – March 6, 2007 – NEON Enterprise Software, Inc., the technology leader in enterprise data management software and services, today announced that Chief Technology Officer Jack Olson was selected as the 2006 Data Management Association (DAMA) International Community Award Winner.
Each year, the DAMA International Community Award recognizes a member that goes beyond the call of volunteer service to enhance the efforts of providing exceptional benefits to DAMA Membership—both internationally and to local chapters.
“We were proud to select Olson for his dedication to in-person visits of DAMA chapters nationally,” said John Schley, President of DAMA International. “Last year, he made an impressive tour of the Iowa, Philadelphia/Delaware Valley, Central Virginia, San Francisco, Michigan, Puget Sound and Wisconsin chapters. His presentations on emerging technologies, such as data quality and data archiving, were relevant to our audiences, and we appreciate his willingness to speak at so many meetings.

Over the span of his 35-year career, Olson has made important contributions to technology in database administration, database management, and data quality areas. Previously, he worked in software development for IBM, BMC Software, Peregrine Systems, and Evoke Software.
DAMA International is an international not-for-profit association of data resource management professionals with chapters around the world.
